Holster

Bio

Guitar-rock mavericks Holster are pouring on a new round of warm vibrations for their ever-growing fan base in the southern regions of New Zealand.

With fans proclaiming the local rockers as the next thing notable, they may be onto something. The Christchurch-based four piece have recently collaborated with elite members of the local music industry in acclaimed South Island producer, Ian McAllister (Salmonella Dub), and Goldenhorse’s Nick Gaffeney to formulate the sound of their debut studio album, currently in the making.

The group have also recently attracted sponsorship interest from commercial heavyweights, such as elite international audio brand KV2 and have piqued the interest of various industry cigar-chomping big-wigs. Don’t let their catchy blend of melodic angst and gliding gats fool you, Holster are renowned for putting on an outrageous live performance, with frontman Gareth James Wilson stomping the stage like a hedonistic DJ.

Band Members:
Gareth James (lead vocals, guitar)
Matt Murfitt (guitars)
Sam Heaps (bass, backing vocals)
Courtney Kelly (drums, percussion, backing vocals)
