MMF Back to Basics seminar Christchurch

The Music Managers Forum (MMF) with support from Recorded Music NZ and the NZ Music Commission are proud to present a Back to Basic seminar in Christchurch for those who are new to management and wish to learn about the fundamentals of the music industry.

The Back to Basics seminar will focus on all the useful information new managers need to know including contracts, setting up your band’s business, how to put together a strategic plan, marketing and promotion, collating a press pack, as well as advice on how to plan an album release and putting together a tour.

Two music industry professionals will be on hand to share some indispensable knowledge and to answer questions from attendees.

They offer professional development and networking opportunities around the country for people to share and learn from the experience of others, and an avenue through which common problems and areas of concern can be discussed.

RECORDED MUSIC NZ is the industry representation and licensing organisation for recording artists and their labels. It owns and presents the Vodafone NZ Music Awards, publishes the Official NZ Top40 Charts and supports educational projects within the music industry through its Music Grants programme. The licensing team provides collective broadcast and online licensing services, with public performance licensing administered through a joint initiative with APRA called OneMusic. The ProMusic NZ division promotes and protects the interests of artists and labels across the New Zealand recording industry.www.recordedmusic.co.nz
