Sol3 Mio announced at their spectacular Christmas In The Vines show
last night at Auckland’s Villa Maria Estate, that they will perform a very
special concert at Auckland Zoo on Friday 20 February 2015.
The opera-singing juggernaut has had one of the biggest years in New Zealand
music history. They have had the highest selling New Zealand album for two
years in a row and have completed a huge year of live touring around the world.
And 2015 looks like being bigger still for Sol3 Mio. The trio will open the
year with this show on the lawns of Auckland Zoo, immediately preceding their
There and Back national tour through February and March.
“The opportunity to play a show at Auckland Zoo, to not only our human fans,
but (hopefully) an appreciative animal audience, was too good to pass up. This
will be something quite special for us, we’re really excited about it” said
Sol3 Mio’s Pene Pati.
The Zoo show will be Sol3 Mio’s only Auckland performance on the There and Back
Tour.
Tickets will go on sale from Ticketmaster at midday on Tuesday 23 December
2014. General admission tickets $67.50, children under 12 years $25, plus fees.
Gates at 5pm, the show will conclude by 9pm.

Sol3 Mio’s whirlwind success in 2014 has continued unabated into the New Year, with the opera singing trio selling out three more dates on their upcoming “There and Back” national tour.
The shows in Tauranga at the ASB Bank Arena on February 26th, Palmerston North at Regent On Broadway on February 23rd and at the Auckland Zoo on February 20th have now sold out, bringing the total of sold out shows to four, including Napier. The remaining shows are likely to follow very quickly.
