Parachute Band to do community service

19 January 2011 - 0 Comments

Just before they release their third album LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE, Parachute Band are asking listeners to pitch unique ways to love their communities; and they’ll be giving the winner one special prize pack.

Life fm launched the LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE competition this week, calling all Parachute Band fans to send in their ideas – from mowing the lawns for an elderly neighbour, to renovating a school, to throwing a birthday party for a single mum.

The winner receives a signed copy of LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE, two VIP tickets to Parachute 2011, and muscle power from the Parachute Band boys to help them complete their idea.

LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE is the first album that Parachute Band have self-produced, and features a more experimental sound from them; think heavy synths and atmospheric walls of sound.

The recording is filled with strong worship anthems penned by a group of NZ songwriters, and also features guest vocals by former Delirious? frontman Martin Smith.

LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE gets released at Parachute 2011, and festival attendees will be able to attend the official album launch on the Mainstage during Parachute Band’s Sunday night set.

Parachute 2011 is happening next week at Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton, from January 28-31.
