Profile for Mantisnz

Canterbury

Mantis is a rock band that hails from Christchurch, New Zealand.

A powerhouse four piece original rock band, these guys have a passion for music and want to make it there life work.

Already proving that by keeping there nose to the grindstone, playing up to three or four gigs a week at times.

They have a second home at Wunderbar and can often be seen rocking Dux Live.

Always working on new material, stepping up there live shows and with dedication these guys will do what it takes.

Their sound is said to be like a deftones and (early) incubus love child with a smidgen of Zeppelin! But also they have heard references to Tool, Ozzy and Alice in Chains.

These boys will be playing all through the rest of the year so make sure you check out one of their shows! You wont be disappointed!

In previous bands members have already shared the stage with the likes of I am giant, played an after party for Metallica and were even booked to play the after party for Queens of the stone age! (which was cancelled due to the events in february 2011)

Band Members:
Skin (vocals)
Kees (bass)
Lance (guitar)
Craig (drums)
