DETONATE FESTIVAL - 31 DEC 2010 - URENUI TARANAKI

Detonate Festival - bigger, faster, harder and louder than any other New Year's Eve experience yet.

It's not your usual New Year's party. Thundering, heart stopping explosions, sky high fireballs, crazy stunts and the hottest Kiwi bands, DJs and entertainment.

While Detonate 2009 will be hard to beat, the organisers have cooked up big plans for 2010 and the guests are in for a party of epic proportions.  If you are looking for something a little different from the 'franchise' New Year's Eve festival experience, you will definitely find it in Taranaki this year!

"We wanted to bring our punters a festival that was fresh and new, a party that is different from the other festivals' say organisers Mark and Nat. "Detonate is something else, it's relentless action, it's in your face, it's totally exciting.  We have listened to our punters and we are delivering what they want, the best and most explosive way to see in the New Year"

An absolutely killer line-up is in store for this year: Steriogram, Autozamm, Motocade, These Four Walls, Pistol Youth, The Rabble, November Zulu and more on the main stage. In our .LTD Dance Zone, talented local and national DJs will be spinning up a storm into the early hours.

Detonate truly lives up to its name, over 50 explosive effects will be rocking the party including exploding cars, swimming pools and huge fireballs.  And interactive bombs! Push the button on the Fitzroy Engineering fireball generator and let off your own explosion or write your regret on the Forget the Regret Car, if you've got the best regret, you get to blow the car to smithereens!

Detonate 2010 also has surprise stunts, a Paintball Gauntlet, three Detonate Mudslides, gyro rides, helicopter rides with Precision Helicopters, revolving interactive entertainment like Zorb, Sumo and Fly-On-The-Wall, food and drink stalls, merchandise from local suppliers, a band signing tent, an R18 licensed area and still much more.  Free camping is available onsite. Or catch the bus!  Buses are available to pick you up from New Plymouth and drop you back again in the New Year.

At just $80 a ticket, get in fast as they won't last long. Tickets are available at http://www.iticket.co.nz/events/2010/dec/detonate-festival/. Ticket numbers are limited so make sure that you secure yours early!
