In alchemy and philosophy, Prima Materia, or First Matter, is the mysterious starting material required for the Alchemical Magnum Opus.
In early 2024, AOSI embarked on a pilgrimage across the South Island searching for the elusive substance that the ancient alchemists praised. After months of relentless pursuit, locked away in their shadowy dungeon (the studio), successfully scouring both Christchurch and Dunedin and tirelessly brewing, combining, and crafting; AOSI have found the secrets of Prima Materia.
Emerging from the depths of their creative crucibles, AOSI has unveiled an EP that transcends mere music—it's an alchemical masterpiece. Through relentless dedication, they've transmuted the raw essence of their starting material into a brand new element within the hard rock music scene—a fusion of sound that defies convention and ignites the senses.
