Jay processes all the skills you need to be a stand out emcee: good voice, great timing, clear delivery, but what really sets him apart from his peers is his skewed perspective on life. With a control of word play and imagery that puts most local poets to shame, Jay Roacher paints pictures of a mundane life only broken up with drug abuse and dole payments. The fact he can make such a dope album from this ground attests to the man's talent. Jay features heavily on the new Breakin Wreckwordz "Its A Monster" album, following a spur of standout guest features; appearing on Tourettes recent "Gimmie Five Dollars..." and on the track "Danger Room" off Cyphanetik's "Commercial Suicide" album, holding his own alongside the crème de la crème of NZ hip hop.
