Tom Firth

Bio

Tom Firth is a Wellington based musician whose song writing and vocal style has acquired a distinctive identity and unique sound.

As with all his songs, the recently completed demo, 'Calibre' presents three tracks that concentrate on rhythmic acoustic guitar and percussion, strong downbeats and earthy vocals. The production of the demo, shows a foundation of mixed genre including electronica, folk, pop-rock and blues, making it a unique blend of old and new.

Currently, Tom’s focus is primarily on writing new material for his next EP project and revitalised performance schedule. Tom is a regular performer at Indigo’s Acoustic Lounge nights and his music has been well received in diverse venues from bars to art galleries in the lower North Island.

Whilst working on solo material, Tom also collaborates with other musicians in recording and performing. He has played support gigs for The Violent Femmes, The Accelerants, The Black Seeds, and internationally renowned folk guitarist, Andrew White. Most recently Tom has featured on the soon to be released album from Module: 'Remarkable Engines'.
