Savage

Bio

This is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for: repeat the words “can you please give it up for Savaaggee!!!”...... We’re sure you’ll agree Savage a founding member of New Zealand’s premier hip hop group the Deceptikonz needs no introduction.

Having racked up gold & platinum plaques for his work on classic NZ hip hop release’s from both Scribe & Mareko, and the massive 'Not Many Remix' Savage is ready to unleash his enormous voice to the world with the debut of 'Moonshine' in March 2005.

"I have a commanding sound, when I get on the mic, I get peoples attention!!" states Savage

First showing aspirations as a solo artist on the hard edged family tale 'Broken Home' off the Deceptikonz #2 Debut album
'Elimination', Savage has constructed a ground breaking record of the highest quality.

Refined from every angle Savage recorded over 40 songs during a 12 month recording regime before finally selecting the final line up.

"Today more than ever, the standard of local albums is high and I knew I had to deliver so we critiqued everything to get the right mix", says Savage

Production duties on the project were handled by Mareko, Nate D (R.E.S), Adeeze Alavante & Atlanta resident Sol Messiah (Producer for Jay-Z, Dead Prez & TLC) who flew to New Zealand and spent 2 weeks manning the drum machine & keyboards at Dawn Raid Studios that resulted in over 80% of the final record being produced by Sol Messiah.

International connections also secured Savage a lucrative spot on Rugged R&B singer Akon’s US top 10 smash hit 'Locked Up' the international remix which has become a local radio favourite. The international remix with Savage on the A-side also features Styles P from the Ruff Ryder label and has been serviced to every VIP urban DJ in the world.

'Moonshine' is an endless source of radio hits & Hip Hop classics , 'Swing' the lead single from the album is a certified club banger & already has the crowds pumping, followed by 'If you Love Savage ( wave your hands)' to make sure the name Savage stays on your mind.

A complete package Savage slows it down with the allure of 'Moonshine' Feat Akon & the captivating 'They don't know' Feat #1 female artist Aaradhna and if that’s not enough the album features guest spots from Adeaze, Brotha D & the Deceptikonz.
