Best described as funked up Hip-Hop, the group consists of a live band a DJ and two MCs.

A Master Pilot night is a mixture of Live music, top quality scratching and singing/ rapping over original beats. All Tracks are written by pilot members. The lyrics are sassy, poignant, intelligent and witty.

With minimal yet effective backing tracks, the live band (which is drums, bass, guitar and two flowing emcees) simply ease over the top of these beats with more juice than a watermelon.

With four years of live gigging under their belt, Master Pilot have established a great following around the top-of-the-South Island. Having supported the likes of Che Fu, P-Money, Scribe, Rhombus and Salmonella Dub, these guys have earned some serious respect.

At the end of 2005, Master Pilot released an independant compilation CD called 'Monster Tracks'. It was released thanks to Frisbee Dog Records and is available through Low-Pass Records. The CD contained 7 Hip hop tracks, One insrtumental and 4 Break beat tracks. The track 'Lovers' (Funknslocuts) recieved funding from NZ on Air.

They are now playing slightly further abroad throughout the South Island most recently at the Jet Set lounge in Christchurch and Dux De Lux in both Christchurch and Queenstown.
