Bio

ALTAEA is a five-piece post-hardcore rock band hailing from Auckland, New Zealand.

The band was reborn in 2022 with the addition of vocalist Josh Parbery who joined the ex-STATES members Reuben Parlane (guitar and backing vocals), Chris Birch (drums), Rob Woodman (bass guitar), and Nik Dobbin (lead guitar).

ALTAEA has quickly commanded attention due to their relentless style, blending expressive vocals, powerful riffs, and energetic rhythms, making them a tough contender in the New Zealand underground rock scene.

Their unique sound, which draws inspiration from various genres such as punk, hardcore, and metal, is marked by a dynamic and uncompromising approach.
