Auckland based emerging female singer / songwriter Ella Minehan has just dropped her third single
First Light. A smooth RnB sounding track which has been described as an upbeat, flirty track about taking chances with relationships.

First Light. A smooth RnB sounding track which has been described as an upbeat, flirty track about taking chances with relationships.
This is the third and final track in her three-track release which was part of final project for her Bachelor of Commercial Music at Massey.
Ella has an impressive vocal range, the perfect carrier for the rich RnB flavour she infuses into her music. A talented musician, she has been singing ever since she was three and writing music since the age of five.
First Light builds up nicely and flows along seamlessly in a flawless, harmonious fashion ending on a different wavelength. She has a seasoned musicians sound.
Inspired by artists such as Beyonce and Christina Aguilera, Ella Minehan has a soulful sound and a big voice. Making it through to the top 21 on NZ Pop Stars in 2021 with her strong impressive song writing skills, showed the world what a formidable up and coming musical artist she is becoming.
First Light is silky and smooth which highlights her stunning vocals and rich polished sound. Defiantly an artist to watch out for in the Pop/RnB realm.

About Ella Minehan
Describing herself as a Pop/RnB vocalist with a big belt, she credits powerhouses like Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Aretha Franklin for helping her love her voice. “I grew up thinking I had to sound sweet and feminine. As I got older, I realised having a deep, womanlike voice was also a gift – these female vocal titans helped me love this part of myself.”
Minehan isn’t afraid to put in the work to succeed, having trained vocally since age nine to one day perfect her technique. Asthmatic since birth, she spent summers running while singing to build up lung strength and better breath support. Some might think this condition would disadvantage her vocally. Minehan doesn’t agree. She sees it as a challenge to keep overcoming in pursuit of her goals - which she knows she can only achieve through putting the work in.
