Leftfield to headline Splore Festival 19-21 February 2016

12 November 2015 - 0 Comments

One of electronic music's greatest acts - Leftfield - is to headline next February’s Splore Festival.

This will be the iconic group’s first ever show in New Zealand and they will be bringing their full live AV and lighting production set.

Leftfield’s 1995 album Leftism remains one of defining statements of 90’s dance music.

The group, now led solely by Neil Barnes, has been playing major UK venues this year, on the back of their top ten album in the UK, Alternative Light Source. The UK Guardian summed up Leftfield’s recent triumphant show in Manchester’s Albert Hall as “loud and distinctive as ever. They have not so much moved forward as waited for the rest of the world to catch up.”

The Times simply called their sold out London shows "monumental."

Splore Festival has also added Dutch group My Baby, plus local acts Kinetic, Aroha + Tali, High Hoops, James Chesterman, DJ Takas, Ciazzmo, Joe Revell, Chiccoreli /MC Tali and Elementary to its line up.
