After adding an extra Auckland show due to popular demand to the upcoming New Zealand leg of their Australasian tour, UK’s alt-rockers Nothing But Thieves have just announced they’ll be joined by local act Daffodils.

Presented by XIII Touring, Untitled Group, Wasserman Music and War Road Management, Nothing But Thieves will be exploding onto stages in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide before heading to Auckland’s iconic Powerstation to play their first-ever New Zealand shows.

Tickets to their show on Thursday, May 9 are sold out, but there are still tickets available to the band’s newly added show on Friday, May 10.

Nothing But Thieves are excited to have Aotearoa alt-indie rockers Daffodils opening for them. With two EPs – Boys and Stay The Night – already under their belt, Daffodils have earned a reputation as ‘ones to watch’ and with the four-piece deep in the midst of creating their debut full-length album, fans have much to be excited about.

Daffodils are also a live act to be reckoned with, as witnessed when they’ve warmed stages for the likes of international heavyweights such as Foals, Orville Peck, Wet Leg and IDLES. They’ve also headlined shows across the country, performed across the East Coast of Australia, and entertained the masses at festivals like Laneway Festival, Rhythm & Vines and SXSW.

The upcoming Powerstation shows are the first ever for Nothing But Thieves, who last year released their fourth studio album, the critically acclaimed Dead Club City, followed by the recently released Dead City Club Deluxe edition.

Dead Club City, which debuted at #25 in the NZ Album Charts, is undoubtedly the most intoxicating and innovative addition to the Nothing But Thieves universe to date. But beneath the pop glimmers and blistering soundscapes percolating throughout Dead Club City, a socially conscious core also lies in wait, seamlessly balancing real-world meaning alongside its fantastical overarching concept.
