Tower of Flints return to the fabulous Paisley Stage with their unique brand of indie-rock/post-punk, hot on the heels of their recent album release, Tower of Flints Live At Paisley Stage.

Combining soaring guitars, raucous feedback, dark poignant lyrics and a tight, bass driven rhythm section, Tower of Flints are guaranteed to please rock-music listeners of all ages and styles.

TOWER OF FLINTS
Tower Of Flints began as the working title for a solo project of Joseph E Harrison (formerly lead singer of Brave New Void), a Wellington-based musician and songwriter. In early 2018, he was joined by Neil Beales (guitar), and more recently, Corey Wilkinson (drums) and Jared King (bass).

Described by some as indie rock and others as post-punk, Tower Of Flints have a distinctive sound that is all their own - guaranteed to please the ears of anyone into well-crafted rock/pop songs with dark, ambiguous lyrics and loud, jangly guitars.

Tower of Flints will be performing brand new material by the band, along with songs by guitarist Neal Beales and tracks from frontman Joseph E Harrison’s solo album, Therapy For A Cynic, described by reviewer Jel Legg for Muzic.net.nz as: "Quite simply, a brilliant album.”

Their new album Tower of Flints Live At Paisley Stage was released in February 2024 and is available on all platforms.

SPINNING LIGHTS
At its core, Spinning Lights has been the brainchild of songwriter Piers Chamberlain, a dedicated musician whose musical journey has been shaped by a diverse cast of collaborators over the years.

Piers and his long-time creative partner, Brian Donnelly, once ventured into the Wellington music scene alongside Kirsty Keys as the unforgettable SinkBoat, creating waves across the turn of the millennium However, life's twists and turns led the band into a hiatus when Brian relocated to another city.

But fate works in mysterious ways, and when Kirsty and Piers crossed paths again, it was as if the old songs had been waiting in the wings, ready to burst forth with a renewed vigour. With the addition of the talented drummer Harry Hines, a new chapter of their musical journey began, full of fresh creativity and inspiration.

Spinning Lights has been aptly described as a "dirty power trio with teddy bears," a fitting metaphor for their music, which oscillates between raucous and dark, as if it's just thrown a tantrum and is now settling into a melancholic slumber. Their songs are largely uptempo, adorned with groovy hooks and sprinkled with sparse, cynical lyrics that linger in your mind, leaving you paranoid and wondering - what’s really out there?

Auckland-based artist Dylan Frater, has garnered worldwide airplay, and his latest releases have secured a place on mainstream radio in New Zealand. In recent years, Dylan Frater has undergone a notable artistic evolution, exploring the realms of EDM and indie-pop in his musical repertoire. This evolution is evident in his singles like Mexico and his most recent release, Continuum, showcasing his ability to seamlessly blend elements of indie-pop with his signature storytelling style.

His live shows are energetic and dynamic, weaving elements of pop, cinematic, and EDM.
