The good people at The Odeon are pretending The Odeon is the Temple
for the night for Karen Temple's birthday - everyone is welcome!

Karen will be there from about 5pm for anyone who wants to drop by for a
drink on the way home from work and the music will start around 7pm.
Featuring Temple favs Karen Hunter, Punga, Stan Malcolm, Manu Bennett,
Charlotte Johansen, Simon Hislop, and Temple Dan.

2. Win A Trip To San Francisco

This is a trip for two on Air New Zealand - flying Business Class. Winners will be announced on Extended Play with Simon Grigg, on Wednesday the 30th June.

5. Needed: Singers/Songwriters to Perform in the States

New Zealand based producer Peter Kearns is looking for singer/songwriters
to produce in the states or from a distance or a combination of both.

The style is preferably adult contemporary; ala Elvis Costello, Sam Philips,
Michael Penn, Tori Amos etc. That is, interesting lyrics, melodies and
progressions coupled with semi-organic instrumentation.

Over the weekend we'll earn and sing in four-part harmony a number of songs from various gospel and other traditions, as well as practice a variety of warm-up exercises, and develop listening and improvisation skills, rhythm
and range. You don't have to read music and you may tape the sessions.
