The future of muzic.net.nz
Posted: Mon Sep 8, 2003 6:23 pm
As you may or may not know, the team here at muzic.net.nz have been working on several brand-spanking new features which will be making an appearance on the site as soon as they are finished.

Along with these features, we are also working on tidying up some of the existing areas to make them more user-friendly.

We will be making changes to the following areas of the site:

- The forums

We plan on making making these forums more fun to use in a bid to increase the activity on them. This includes enabling simple html functions (or something to that effect), having forums on our news articles and a couple of other little things that we are going to keep quiet at this stage.

- The contact page

We have already made some small changes to the contact page - and there will most probably be more on the way.

- The downloads page

I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say this page needs to be tidied up - and tidied up it will be. We'll make it easier to view the list of downloads we have, and enable it so even more downloads can be stored on the page. Remember, if you are a solo artist or in a band, you can list your mp3s on this page as well as your artist page.

We also plan to:

- Add new features to the site on a regular basis

- Enable some new features for members only such as favourite artist lists for members (designed so it is very easy for you to add your favourite artists) and a few other things that have been sitting on the cards for a while...

- Finally getting around to setting up the Street Team that we said we would set up over a year ago!

- set up some muzic.net.nz merchandise

- Having genre's listed for each artist - that is, what style of music each artist (solo or band) plays.

- Completing a whole lot of behind the scenes work that is integral to the day-to-day running of muzic.net.nz... this will make the admin of the site more efficient etc.

and as always we promise to always

- Add more artists to the artist pages, more gigs to the gigs page, more releases to the releases page - more more more!!

- and give you the very best of NZ music, all day - every day!

You'll notice these changes, and many more, take place over the next few months (some of which won't be done until next year, so please be patient). If you have any suggestions or comments, please get in touch with us via our contact page, or reply to this post.

Thank you with your support...
