Massive Attack shows cancelled
Posted: Thu Mar 20, 2003 5:04 pm
British dance act Massive Attack have cancelled their New Zealand concerts scheduled for the end of March.

The band could not secure all the production elements required to present their Auckland and Wellington concerts to the same level as elsewhere, a press statement released today said.

Massive Attack were not prepared to deliver 'sub-standard' performances.

The shows, originally set for March 7 in Wellington and March 8 in Auckland, were postponed until March 29 and 30 after pornography allegations were made against band member Robert "3D" Del-Naja.

Ticket refunds will be available from Friday this week from the point of purchase.

The statement said Massive Attack apologised for the cancellations and wished to thank Kiwi fans for their support and faith, which was always appreciated.
