Swooshsmack - Band Promtion Co-op

About me:
I work as a classroom music teacher and part-time conductor. Three months ago I started doing some band promotion for three Wellington bands. After being approached by many bands, 17 Wellington bands have successfully auditioned to join the Swooshsmack band co-op!

Swooshsmack so far:
We have organized lots of Wellington gigs as well as some short out-of-town tours to Ohakune, Taihape, Turangi, Palmerston North, and Hunterville. Our first major event is a day of accoustic sets being played at The Purple Onion Cafe to close Wellington Music Week on October 26.

Out-of-town Bands
We are now interested in meeting out-of-town bands coming to Wellington to play as part of a two or three band line-up. We can guarantee a minimum $250 payment (hopefully more) and assist by providing accomodation. We would like to reciprocate a similar arrangement at a venue in your town!

In the near future
After establishing some out-of-town links I want to dedicate more time to lobby the 'music industry' for support by forging working links with the radio and recording industry.
