Ok, now that I listened to it....

First of all, the nigger-trash spelling for the song title just sux, for fucks sake, spell it properly.

This is not the sort of stuff I usually listen to, but here are my 2 cents...

There are not enough changes in the song, standart text book verse/chorus type stuff, try adding an interlude/breakdown, tempo change, time signature change, add a solo/melody line, try some interesting picking (even with acoustic guitar), whatever to keep it interesting rather then boring strumming from start to finish.

The vocals seem to sit a little bit too loud in the mix, although it could be because I listened to it through shitty laptop speakers. The effects on the vocals also seem a little over done.

There we go, from what I hear, this sort of shit is all over the radio, nothing unique, you just follow another trend like a million other bands.

Having said that, I think you will do well with your quest for top 10, as New Zealanders seem to like that sort of shit...

Hope that was helpful, good luck.

Very Happy yeha some one took the time to listen to my song!!!

Grim_entropy cheers for your honesty i can relate to every thing your saying.
I used to play in a band called head butt and we used to write some pretty well - uncomicial music. It is sad that if you want your shit on the radio it usually has to conform to the top of the pops style lip sync side show? thank god for freedom of Mr Green the download! again thanks for taking the time.

Did you make the track using actual instruments, or did you use samples?

The song was written in 2002 an acousitic version is downloadable under julius in this site.
all guitar tracks, bass, vocals, bg vocals are real and played and sang by julius
the drum tracks were created step by step with drum software Julius does not own a drum kit but he can play drums. for the sake of a good quality recording and at the cost of a blank cd and many hours of trial and error the decision to use software over hardware for the drum traks was made easy. infact i probably used 15 - 20 blank cds just to get the sound i wanted running back and forth to the car stereo - Never did get the hang of CD-RW -cheers for your querie!

"Hey listen everyone, Eddie Veddar's joined the Backstreet Boys!!!"

It's not often that I agree with grim_entropy but just about everything he's said is absolutely right. If you were trying to write a commercially viable rip off then congratulations. It's not a bad song, it's just not unique.

That would explain why the drums sounded "washed out" - like the samples were low bitrate or something.

Still, good work putting it all together yourself!

Thanks adrian0476 I apreciate your comments Pearl jam rock -while i used to think so - and the backstreet boys - while weve all herd of them - strange that I think both Bands made a shit load of pocket money of there music too that is until justin timberlake left The band just wasnt the same after that.

Kraven cheers for the comment its my first recording done by myself and it was made with under $5,000 worth of equiptment - fingers crossed for nz on air -Ive had the gear for about 5 months and had never used music software before this time

New song comming soon!!! Very Happy

Hey ya, comments coming from Ms K.....
I didn't expect it to sound like that. My thought for the back ground music would be something to the likes of Evanesence song - Lead guitar coming in through the back ground then procede with drums. But otherwise its all right. It would hit the top 10 If i went with through the background music with ya! Laughing

My comments: I liked the first song you bought out Very Happy where you sounded like creed and the start of the song was like a scratched CD or something. I tend to like the acoustic over the norm one.
Now will it make the top 10?????...i'd say so.... say around 5 Blue Razz

koda And miss K thankyou for your comments Julius Welcomes all comments and thanks those who take a small part of their day and create some feed back for artists such as myself -
At times it can feel like your in a never ending desert and no one gives a fuck-but i won,t lay down and die- For some artists
feed back is like water-good or bad you still drink it When your thirsty- It dont matter how it tastes or what it looks like- the smell soon disapears and somewhere sooner or later you find the strength to rock another day.
Hey i Feel a song comming on got to go Eddie OUT!
