HEY ALL!! I'M NICKY AND THIS IS MY FIRST DAY ON THE SITE! I AM FROM TORONTO,ONTARIO CANADA AND A SINGER /SONGWRITER. THIS CHRISTMAS I AM HEADED TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY(I'VE ONLY SEEN INTERNET PHOTOS) TO MEET MY BEAU'S PARENTS!!! I'M TOTALLY EXCITED AND AS I AM CURRENTLEY WORKING ON A EP I THOUGHT IT BEST TO TOUR NEW ZEALAND STARTING IN JANUARY GOING ALONG THE EAST COAST!! MY QUESTION TO ANYONE WHO IS READING THIS IS: CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANY OPEN MICS,SMALL VENUES, BOOKING AGECIES OR CLUB MANAGERS I SHOULD LOOK INTO OF GET IN TOUCH WITH? MY STYLE IS ROCK/SOUL HOWEVER FOR THIS I WOULD BE DOING 2 GUITARS AND VOICE !! I REALLY WOULD BE THANKFUL TO ANYONE WHO COULD HELP MAKE THIS DREAM OF MINE A REALITY, SO FEEL FREE TO WRITE BACK AS I WILL BE CHECKING THE SITE AND BROWSING EVERYDAY! I'M ALSO HAVING A WEBSITE CONSTRUCTED AS WE SPEAK SO I WILL BE PROVIDING THAT INFO AS SONN AS IT READY!! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHO IS OUT THERE

hello and welcome! yeah just go to the gig page and suss out the various venues.There are lots at all the main centres and other.so ya should have no trouble at all cos of all the phone numbers are there to hook ya up heaps of gigs.Good luck and c ya in wellington!

hi there!! thanks for the response! so r u saying i should just get on the phone from canada and start hunting down gigs? if so it would be awsome if you could lead me to a few venues you like that r into acoustic acts! my boyfriend and i are playing together and so theres no band or anything like that ! also do you think i should start now or wait until january to start calling?

Just go to the gigs page.they will have an email adress there for ya.might be cheaper than the phone.Indigo bar has a cool acoustic thing on twice a week.And katipo cafe i think in wellies.But there are bound to be heaps of others just chek em out.
