Smashproof’s Brother, which topped the New Zealand charts 10 years ago in a record run, still holds the record for the longest running New Zealand #1 single.
Smashproof first catapulted to fame in 2009 when their debut single, Brother (featuring Gin Wigmore) reached #1 on the Top 40 Singles Chart in New Zealand. It went on to hold the position for a staggering 11 weeks, receiving triple platinum certification.
Smashproof first debuted in the Official New Zealand Top 40 Albums on 30 March 2009 with the album The Weekend. There are five entries by Smashproof in the charts with one reaching Number One.
