Band & Musician News - Frequency Media Group Celebrates Two #1 Albums!

16 March 2011 - 0 Comments

Frequency Media Group is very happy to announce this week that two of its local album releases have come in at the number one spot on the national chart.

Local music hero Tiki Taane has gone to the top spot with his sophomore solo record In The World Of Light.

After being released at the annual Homegrown Music Festival in Wellington a fortnight ago. Likewise, Pasifika: The Collection Volume 2, which was released as the official CD of the annual Pasifika Festival in Auckland, has debuted atop the national compilation chart.

Tiki Taane has bought us one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2011. After nearly 4 years since the release of his multi-platinum selling album Past Present Future, Tiki is back in full force and pushing himself further than ever before as both a vocalist and a producer. In The World Of Light is released through Tiki Dub and Dirty Management.

Pasifika: The Collection Volume 2 is the follow up to the landmark #1 album Pasifika: The Collection which was released in 2010. The track listing of 30 Pacific classics from both contemporary and traditional Polynesian artists features platinum and gold hits from Monsta, J Williams, Ladi 6, Nesian Mystik, Boo Yaa Tribe, House Of Shem, DLT feat. Che-Fu and current Hawaiian reggae sensation, J Boog. Pasifika: The Collection Volume 2 is released through Dawn Raid Entertainment.
