"Our first gig was the Mount Maunganui busking competition. It rained. We made $54 and dedicated the amount to Toots & The Maytals. If somebody had put in another 46 cents it would have been truly magical day, but that didn't happen."

"Later that afternoon we drank $54 worth of beers in the Office Bar. It was happy hour so $54 bought quite a few. We are currently holed up at home in the Mount waiting for the offers of contracts to come flooding in. We are also hard at work marketing ourselves to the right demographic to shift the kind of units needed to pay for all the weed. We offered McD's a tie-in deal, featuring, what else - neckties with the Bongstubbby logo, but they weren't keen. Too bad. Those things were expensive too."
