Mind Vandal

Bio

Mind Vandal (formerlly known as OOS) is a Wellington rock band forged in the styles of such great names as Shihad, Foo Fighters, Faith No More, Smashing Pumkins and Queens Of The Stone Age.

The name does not specifically mean anything, and is really more of a sound than an actual word. The correct way to say it is like the 'oos' in 'moose'.

Mind Vandal: Alternate-Rock. Specifically, hard rhythmic melodic guitar driven rock, infused with elements of electro-acoustic sounds. The music seeks to communicate alternative perspectives on common experiences, in fully immersive aural expression.

Mind Vandal have been together now for 2 years, and have played all around Wellington, and in parts of the North Island.

Their first gig saw the release of their debut album (on a limited run), which sold out.

The future will see a re-release of the album (which will have new and better vocal recordings, and re-mastering), on a much larger scale around NZ, as well as extensive touring of the major centers.
