Skinflint

Bio

Formed in the early months of the new millennium, these four former Mount college students, influenced by the likes of Frenzal Rhomb, NOFX and as of late New Zealand punkers Next in Line, found themselves jamming as an excuse to drink piss and tell chicks they played in a band.

Eventually a bona fide band was formed and Skinflint was brought into existence. Playing at a series of skateboarding comps, local riot-fuelled parties and having the most amazing pleasure to play with Next in Line, Sommerset and Strung Out at a local Mount gig, the boys have slowly earned the respect of many of the area's teenage audience and of many more at the the Bay's Smokefree Rockquest finals.

Skinflint describe their style as hardcore pop punk and can often be heard singing about many lost loves and Anthony's ability to still be alive after quite possibly being the first person to be hit by three different cars on pedestrian crossings.

Band Members:
Ant Reynolds (vocals)
Paul Neate (guitar, vocals)
Matt Bodman (bass, vocals)
Simon Neate (drums, vocals)
