In 2001, Relaxomatic Project became the first New Zealand act to be released on Blue Note Records, when their song 'Every Day There’s Something' featured on 'The New Sound of Jazz: Tracks From The New Jazz Generation' released by Blue Note France.

Relaxomatic Project was nominated 'Best New Act' at the 2001 New Zealand Music Awards.

Relaxomatic Project supported Charlie Hunter in Auckland, 1999.

1999 saw Sperber & Casey release their first 'Relaxomatic Project' CD through EMI New Zealand.

In 2001 EMI New Zealand released a compilation called 'Lazy Sunday', featuring Sperber & Casey’s 'Every Day There’s Something' as the opening track. The compilation attracted Multi-Platinum sales.

Lazy Sunday was released in Korea, Singapore and other Asian territiories in 2002.

In 2002, Relaxomatic Project played the Christchurch International Jazz Festival to capacity audiences and excellent reviews.

Dan Sperber has also performed with The New Loungehead.
