Steezin' Hawkings

Bio

Steezin' Hawkings; formed in 2011, Steezin’ Hawkings are a 6 piece band based in Wellington.

Featuring some of the freshest talent from the vibrant Wellington music scene, Steezin’ Hawkings is comprised of current students and former graduates of the Whitireia music school And the New Zealand School of music.
In 2014, Steezin’ Hawkings were invited and accepted a place at the New Zealand Waiata Maori Music awards which allowed them to play alongside a selection of New Zealand musicians including Maisy Rika, Tama Waipara, Majic and Sons of Zion.

As of 2016, they are currently promoting their debut EP, "Steezin' Hawkings".

With heavy funk riffs, lush grooves, adventurous soundscapes and a tight dynamic live show, Steezin’ Hawkings create an exciting and massive sound and are rated highly by notable New Zealand musicians such as John O’Connor and Brannigan Kaa.
