NOW Based in Auckland!

In November 2001, Ystervark released their first demo CD consisting of two tracks which received some airplay on 5FM and RSFM. In December 2001, Ystervark was featured on the local television channel KykNet as part of a programme titled "Die Mystic Bloem" and also "Heita!" on E-TV the following year.

They have appeared at a number of big events and festivals such as: Oppi Koppi, Splashy Fen, Rustlers, Granaat, RP studios emerging Sounds, "Op die Eiland" and Riversands Rustlers Festival. Ystervark has also performed with bands such as Perez, Wonderboom, Sringbok Nude Girls, Henry Ate, Tree63, Sons of Trout, Anton Goosen, WickHead and Karen Zoid among others.
