FIRE are Wellington's premier southern country thrash metal band.
Established in 2001 FIRE draws influences from such bands as Pantera, Machine head, Black Label Society, Testament, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alice in Chains and other such bands to create its own unique whiskey laced, southern-style thrash metal sound.
Mid 2007 Fire released its first EP "Raise hell & leave" to coincide with a lower north island tour. Two of these songs can be downloaded from here, the other two are on the myspace site.
2008 after a few line-up changes, FIRE are currently working on new material for their new album as well as working on re-releasing older material for a new EP. These songs will be available on this site and the myspace site for free download.
A Live FIRE show is about metal, groove, energy, mayhem, beers, buds and having a good time. No egos or posers.
