Bio

A three guitars, bass and drums rock n roll animal that kicked into action in 1996. The Dellburgoes have played all over Christchurch's under bellied broken down clubs, pubs and near bankrupt rock venues, snowboard and mountain bike parties, surf comps and motorbike clubs. Mostly playing to an enlightened few.

The Dellburgoes have taken, what has become their trademark Reeperbahn style rock, to the road and being asked by Sir Paul Kelly, American cult band, Dead Moon and more recently New Zealand rockers, The Datsuns, to open on their NZ tours.

This West Coast band is well known for putting on shows that are mixed up, shocked up and an orgasmic stew of 50s rockabilly, 60s surf, 70s glam, garage but most importantly, songs that the girls love to dance to.

Their first New Zealand CD single release was 'Last Twist' on the Christchurch Rockstar Records 'No Thanks To NZ On Air' compilation. 'Last Twist' became a favourite song for The Datsuns who got Auckland record label Fast Food Records to contact The Dellburgoes. This time 'Last Twist' is released on the New Zealand compilation, 'Rock N Roll Music Is My Only Salvation'. 1000 copies were pressed and out they went!

The Dellburgoes have now released their debut LP 'Raw Star Guitars'. The LP includes songs such as 'Last Twist' and 'Back To Thee' used for Planet X Games promotion and the single 'Get Started', which is currently being played throughout the country.

'Last Twist' has been played on stations locally and internationally coinciding with a 7 day, 7 gig tour of Australia.

The wild West Coast provided the backdrop for the majority of the 'Raw Star Guitars' recordings at the Devil Made Me Do It Records along with studios in Christchurch and Melbourne. Two other tracks off the LP 'Black Rock n Roll Heart' and 'All Afro and Blue Blue Eyes' will be included in the soundtrack to the New Zealand movie 'April Sun' shot in the South Island.
