Bio

Dan and Stu began writing songs in November, 2002. Ian relocated to Auckland from Hamilton in December to become the vocalist. Todd joined the band in January the following year. El Toro spent 2003 based in West Auckland locked away in the rehearsal space writing songs and practicing. Now with a full set of originals and their first show (in a random woolshed south of Hamilton) out the way, the group are ready to commence regular gigging in the local Auckland scene.

Drawing influence from such bands as the Deftones, Kyuss, Korn, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, Coal Chamber, Disturbed, Tool, and System of a Down, El Toro are gradually developing their own unique style.
