Modest, humble, and understated Denver McCarthy holds a secret... He is considered to be one of the Godfathers of NZ techno, active around Auckland in the 90's.
Will catches up with his old friend who has returned to NZ to receive a Taite Award for his 1998 album Inside a Quiet Mind under the moniker Micronism. It's a deep dive reminisce about Denver's entire musical journey from High
School Battle of the Bands, the Thrash metal era, his techno releases, and finally his current spiritual musical life as a Krishna devotee. Longest interview to date, but perhaps one of the most in-depth and interesting.
