Civilian Down - Miss Conduct Newsletter Interview

30 May 2005 // An interview by Shade
Which NZ artist/band do you think will be a huge international success one day?
Definatly Hellserpoppin. They rock you to the bone. They're original and awesome guys.

Who would you most like to tour with?
Internationally, Mudvayne. Nationally, Hellserpoppin, Psionic & Shihad.

What is your most embarrassing concert moment?
Haven't had a "really" embarrassing moment yet. The most thats happened to us is having the two same strings on both guitars at the same time break, and tried to play our last song with both guitars way out of tune.

What are you planning on doing during 2005?
Record an album, enter in the battle of the bands, get some promo gear made up, and do a psuedo north island tour.

How did you come up with the name Miss Conduct?
Spirit of the moment really, it was going to be "Misconduct" but there are probably another 100 bands called that, few drinks later someone was smart enough to "Pun" it.

What is in your CD collection at home?
A lot. Mudvayne, Emperor, Tool, Primus, Pennywise, Cab Callaway, The Blues Brothers, Stiff Little Fingers, NIN, Rammstein, Sabbath, Bob Marley, James Brown, Sublime, Cradle of Filth, STP, APC, Shihad, MiSex, The Feelers, Stardrunk, Stylus, everything but Retro.

What advice would you give other budding musicians/bands?
Gig hard, no one wants to see a shit hot band that are statues live, try to impress everyone, not just the other musicians that may be watching. Keep writing new material constantly, and have fun doing it.
