Fly My Pretties Announce Rescheduled NZ Theatre Tour

31 March 2020 - 0 Comments

Loop wishes to advise that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Fly My Pretties are rescheduling their New Zealand theatre tour. Originally set to take place this May, the dates will instead go ahead in November & December 2020.

The Auckland & Christchurch shows remain at the Auckland Town Hall & Isaac Theatre Royal respectively, while the Wellington show has moved to the Wellington Opera House. These three special performances will remain as Fly My Pretties’ only theatre shows for 2020, and will see the largest cast in FMP history assembled.

Ticketholders are encouraged to hold onto their tickets, as all issued tickets remain valid. Wellington ticketholders will receive an email from Ticketmaster Customer Service with the tickets for the new venue. We ask those who are no longer able to make these new dates to get in touch with the relevant ticketing companies to arrange a refund. However, we ask those who can afford and make the new dates to stick with Fly My Pretties and the arts.

These shows will celebrate the release of the first studio recordings in Fly My Pretties history, with Part One out now, and Part Two due in May. All shows will see songs performed from the new albums, alongside some special surprises in front of an enhanced new visual backdrop.

Since their inception, Fly My Pretties has grown to become a local legend of music that continues to reach people all over the world. An institution of the New Zealand music scene, Fly My Pretties are New Zealand's favourite live collaborative group starring a selection of the country’s finest contemporary musicians, and visual artists.

2019 saw Fly My Pretties step into the studio for the first time, capturing some of their most-loved tracks as they have never been heard or performed before. The Studio Recordings Part One, released in October, showed a cross section of the unique sound of Fly My Pretties, travelling through folk, blues, dub and soul.

May 2020 will see the release of The Studio Recordings Part Two, followed by a return to some of NZ’s most beautiful venues later in 2020 to perform tracks from both albums and the back catalogue.

All shows presented by Fortune Favours, with thanks to Loop, Yealands Wines, Havana Coffee Works, Scapegrace Gin & Radio Hauraki.
