Music News - Vox Venus Unveil Debut EP 'Rise & Shine'

Vox Venus Unveil Debut EP 'Rise & Shine'

19 March 2020 - 0 Comments

Te Henga’s own Vox Venus, unveil their deliciously quirky debut, Rise & Shine, a whimsically delightful 5-track EP awash with vintage synths, glockenspiel, ukulele and classic drum machine beats.

Very much in the spirit of modern Kiwi music, the two-piece featuring Heather Bolton and Hannah de Koster refuse to shy away from highlighting their indie-pop/twee sound, with Heather singing in her natural accent which offsets the tracks with a pure an innocent sound that pulls the listener in with their vulnerability.

Recorded in Heather’s home studio with her brother Paddy Bolton and Coro Sonic Lab’s Matt Stephen, this debut perfectly pulls together her passion for music and her interest in all things cosmic, resulting in an infectiously delightful offering.

You can join Vox Venus for their live streamed EP release party here, with support from Heneka DJ selectress. Koha Entry.
