10 Years Of Netsky + Secret Gig In Auckland To Celebrate

13 December 2019 - 0 Comments

Netsky, Spark and Spotify have announced an exclusive showcase with the award-winning electronic music producer, where he will perform live for fans to celebrate 10 Years of Netsky, on Saturday 11th January 2020.

It’s been 10 years since Netsky released his very first album, since then the top drum n bass producer has gone on to produce deep rolling tracks in liquid funk style, collaborating with the likes of Danny Byrd, Swedish House Mafia, Miike Snow, Beth Ditto, and many more incredible artists.

The 10 Years of Netsky event will be held at a secret location where just 100 fans will see Netsky perform live as the sun sets over Auckland, alongside some of NZ’s favourite producers.

The free fan event was announced via a video on Netsky’s Facebook page and on George FM Breakfast, where they announced only 50 double passes will be up for grabs to the exclusive event.

Tickets for the secret gig can only be won via www.spark.co.nz/music and George FM from today until Sunday 5th January 2020.

Earlier this year Netsky took over Auckland’s Sky Tower for Netsky in the Sky ahead of releasing his massive hit I Don’t Even Know You Anymore with Bazzi which has accumulated over 27 million streams to date on Spotify alone.

Netsky is heading down to New Zealand for Kiwi festival Bay Dreams in Tauranga and Nelson alongside Ella Mai and Halsey. All the information, including ticket purchase for the Nelson festival can be found at https://www.baydreams.co.nz/

Netsky has also curated and released a 10 Years of Netsky Spotify playlist, an essential for the Kiwi summer road trips ahead. Check it out here.

MORE ABOUT NETSKY

The award-winning and globally renowned electronic music producer released his Abbot Kinney EP via Republic Records and Casablanca Records earlier this year. Abbot Kinney EP features five new songs with collaborations from Stargate and 1991, as well as features from Kyle, Toulouse, and Jozzy.

Netsky quietly emerged as not only Belgium’s hottest musical export this decade, but also as a tried-and-true electronic music trendsetter. Beyond standout sets at Coachella, Glastonbury, Pukkelpop, and beyond, he drew a capacity crowd of 18,000 in 2017 in Antwerp’s Sportpaleis Arena. He envisioned and ignited “Netsky & Friends” as an extension of his creative influence, curating and hosting a stage at Tomorrowland and descending on numerous other markets throughout 2018 and beyond. Among countless awards, he became the highest ranking drum ‘n’ bass DJ in the coveted DJ Mag Top 100 in addition to making history as “the youngest ever recipient of the Flemish Culture Award for Music.” Amidst a catalog of hits, his smash Rio attracted a feature from hip-hop titan Mackelmore on the Rio Remix— which would be noted as an unofficial Olympics 2016 anthem. Appropriately, he served as the official artist ambassador for the Belgian Olympic team. Everyone from Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa to Jack Ü has also sought him out for remixes. However, he truly goes worldwide in partnership with Republic Records and Casablanca Records, and the recent release of Palmtrees & Powerlines.
