BENEE Unveils New Single 'Find An Island'

11 October 2019 - 0 Comments

Auckland’s young musical visionary BENEE who holds a captivated audience of over 1.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify has just unveiled brand new single Find An Island.

On Find An Island (Premiered via Triple J Good Nights, AU), the 19-year old continues to weave her way into the ears and hearts of a growing fanbase with a new dose of her sweetly surreal and totally bewitching indie pop. Her usual charming self, BENEE details a lyrical scrap between friends over a nautically themed groove on this new single.

Of the track BENEE says “Howdily doodley! This is a song I wrote about my best bud because sometimes ya hate your friends but you always love them.”

In June 2019 she released her debut EP Fire On Marzz. Spanning six tracks, the EP includes huge viral hits Glitter (WATCH OFFICIAL VIDEO HERE), Evil Spider and her platinum-selling smash hit of the summer Soaked, which has so far received over 50 million streams and continues to sit atop the NZ Top 40 singles chart.

With nominations in four categories in the New Zealand Music Awards including Best Solo Artist, Breakthrough Artist of the Year,
Best Pop Artist and Single of the Year for Soaked, BENEE has been named an “artist to watch” by many and has become a globe-trotting force, taking her live show back and forth to the northern hemisphere. Recently selling out a one-off show in Wellington in 48 hours, and performing at Spotify’s Front Left event in Melbourne alongside Tove Lo & Dominic Fike, ahead of a sold-out show in London and a quick tour of the North East of North America before her next sold out Australian tour. She will return again in January for St Jerome’s Laneway Festival where she is set to perform alongside the likes of Charlie XCX, Rüfüs Du Sol and Ruel.
