Platinum Sounds coming to Auckland March 2020

02 July 2019 - 0 Comments

Plus1 proudly presents Platinum Sounds 2020 – a concert series in Auckland City between March 5th to 11th featuring six of the best international and local platinum hitmakers.

Three of the world’s most beloved acts – Icehouse (Australia), 10cc (UK), and the voice of Ultravox, Midge Ure (UK), are joined by New Zealand legends The Mockers, The Narcs and Jan Hellriegel – for the series.

Auckland music fans will immerse themselves in the soundtrack to their lives with such songwriting gems as I’m Not In Love, Great Southern Land, Dreadlock Holiday, Forever Tuesday Morning, The Things We Do For Love, The Way I Feel, Electric Blue, Heart and Soul, Arts For Arts Sake and many many more.

Platinum Sounds promoter Kurt Shanks from Plus1 says: “To celebrate 20 years of bringing our favourite acts to New Zealand, we’ve put together this killer line-up featuring some of the best bands we grew up with on Radio With Pictures and Ready To Roll. Grab your mates and get yourself sorted – this will be a week to remember”.

Music fans in the South Island won’t miss out either, as Selwyn Sounds on March 7th in Lincoln Christchurch hosts four of these great acts (Icehouse, 10CC, Midge Ure, The Mockers) as part of their strongest line-up yet.

Tickets are on sale via PlatinumSounds.co.nz and Ticketmaster.co.nz from 9am Thursday July 4th (Plus1 & Ticketmaster pre-sale from 3pm Tuesday).

Platinum Sounds is proudly presented by Plus1 and The Breeze.
