PUNK IT UP-DATE!

The Terrorways Added!

at Zwines

(really The Bluestone Room on Durham Lane)

May 25th, 7PM until Bloody Late!

The world renowned event Punk It Up is back like a new Reality TV show. Ratings for this event have topped the charts everywhere, way more than a revealing "what the butler saw" documentary about the Royal Family.

Punk It Up is now happy to announce, in a stunning change of script, that The Terrorways have attacked via the castle ramparts, and are now demanding that they join the Punk It Up lineup.

Not ones to capitulate, the PIU royal court have accepted their offer, and made it a full-on banquet with the additional addition of Jed Town Esq's X-Features, and the Earl of Good Times band Last Rockers, to round out the bill.

Our TV ratings data show that our NZ royal punk family members will be joined by the beloved punks of the kingdom as they congregate side by side to attend this event, all in their tribal native costume, but this time around, at the original castle of AKL punk.

The return home to the sacred halls of Zwines Abbey will be celebrated by the masses, a meeting of old and new mates, and bands, coming together as one for the occasion. In fact, it will be nearly 40 years to the day that two of the bands in the lineup got married whilst doing their first ever gigs at this chapel of punk rock'n'roll.

The list of old and new minstrels is enough to cause a small revolution in some far away place, but nobody really knows where that is. Joining The Terrorways onstage will be our royal "high"nesses of punk, Proud Scum, who will be appearing after being out doing some rabbit hunting, of course. The Right Honorable Spelling Mistakes will be joining in the celebration at Zwines Abbey, pulling out their magnum opus, and mumbling very politically about some "Reena Feels So Good" nonsense.

The Dukes of Kiwi Ska/Punk, The Newmatics, will be also providing their classic songs with so much joy, that they will have all the poor souls in the basement dungeon clapping away in their chains, dreaming of the days when they were free to play their Lutes on the street.

Reporting in for the military might of the NZ punk kingdom will be The Bombers, delivering the proof that punks have plenty of firepower to have a good time, so look out below!

The High Church of Cover Bands, bankRobbers, will be wrapping up the show with some healthy blessings for all of the crowd, even you wretched minions and sinners.

But that's not all folks!

Punk It Up has always been a festival for the people, by the people, so there will be a plethora of conversation downstairs (in the old Babes Disco location), as the townsfolk gather around the many booths selling their wares of records, t-shirts, and other merchandise, whilst the sages of the modern times will be at the information tables, offering kindred spirited advice about real-world problems and the solutions to them that their organizations provide

The Jester's clan will be in full force, known in contemporary circles nowadays as "DJs", with the almighty and holy crew of Dubhead, Miss Dom, Wastemaster, Phil A, Lise, Dean M, and a whole bunch more, not only providing fun times between the minstrels sets, but also at the After Party that is set to take the Kiwi punk tribe well into the wee small hours.

Tickets are now available at the new-fangled internet thing called the web via Under The Radar..
