Ocean Alley have taken out the #1 spot in Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2018 with their groove-fuelled hit single Confidence, also placing #100, #16 and #10 for their standout tracks Happy Sad, Like a Version cover of Baby Come Back and Knees in the world's largest music poll. An undeniable fan favourite, Confidence has surpassed 13 million streams since it was released last February.

Fresh following the announcement, the band exclaimed “This is surreal. Thank you to our family, friends and all the team. To triple j and most importantly every single person that voted. Nothing is possible without your support.”

Ocean Alley – Baden Donegal (vocals), Angus Goodwin (guitar), Nic Blom (bass), Lach Galbraith (keys/vocals), Mitch Galbraith (guitar) and Tom O’Brien (drums) – have continued to engross listeners with their soulful, dreamy tones and summer vibes. Their acclaimed second album Chiaroscuro was awarded the coveted Triple J Feature Album in 2018 and drew praise across the board, with Pilerats proclaiming "it finds a band at the absolute peak of their powers" and LifeWIthoutAndy declaring “Ocean Alley’s biggest days are still ahead of them.”

Proving that their popularity isn’t confined to one side of the Tasman, Ocean Alley have already sold out two of their headline shows in New Zealand with extra dates added in both Auckland and Wellington. This April will now see the boys play a bumper six shows across the country, their biggest New Zealand tour to date.

Final tickets for all New Zealand dates are on sale now from oceanalley.com.au. With two shows already sold out and the remaining dates selling fast, fans are urged to purchase tickets early from official ticket outlets to avoid disappointment.
