Reckless shirt lifting purveyors of good times, the North Shore Pony Club have returned for summer with some crisp new beats and pieces.

Their fresh new EP Abracadabra, crosses and mixes genres from block rocking big beats, 80’s italo rap, kool aid 90’s psychedelia with a couple of dancey disco cuts thrown in guaranteed to keep the people at the front of the dance floor happy.

After a 5 year musical sabbatical, North Shore Pony Club recently got back from an inspirational naked rejuvenation on the beaches of Ibiza in August and smashed out this new record in record time. Working alongside stablemates Lunavela and Randy Diamond, Abracadabra is the first of several releases happening over the next 6 months.

Hailing from the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand, disco brothers Matt and Aaron Pony’s particular blend of low brow, hi-fi hedonism kicked off almost a decade ago. In that time they have hosted regular debaucherous disco club nights and played alongside handfuls of world class artists such as Diplo, 2manydjs, Erol Alkan, A-Track, Pet Shop Boys, Spank Rock, Kid Koala, Peter Hook, Ian Pooley, Crookers, Ajax, Fake Blood, Soulwax, Horse Meat Disco, Kasabian, Crazy Penis, Dj Craze, Tittsworth, Boy 8-bit, Van She, Sinden, Norman Jay, the Nextmen and even the formidable Jordan Luck.

Former breakout North Shore Pony Club hits received support from MTV Uk & Europe, Rough Trade Brooklyn as well as numerous blogs and college radio stations around the world.
