Today Louis Baker releases an expressive new acoustic version of his most recent single, Black Crow. It’s hard not to feel a strong sense of peace and resolve when listening to this heart rendering record.

This intimate track encourages the listener to hear it’s message in a completely new way. One can’t help but hear the sonic familiarity betweenBlack Crow (Acoustic), and the heartfelt honesty heard on Baker’s, Self-Titled EP. Again he reminds us of his depth, vulnerability, and space in his work that we know and love.

The original version of Black Crow garnered it’s fair share of support with radio play across both commercial and indie stations in New Zealand, including the likes of ZM, The Hits and Radio Hauraki, and was added to over 60 ABC stations throughout Australia.

Furthermore, on release, Black Crow secured New Music Friday NZ and Australia, #1 on the NZ Heatseekers Charts, Apple Music's Best of the Week and was announced as one of the Top 20 Songs of the Year for the APRA Silver Scrolls.

Baker recently returned to New Zealand from a 20 date UK / European tour selling out two London shows, performing at The Great Escape Festival and was selected to participate in a 3 day writing camp at legendary RAC studios for APRA Songhubs London.

On September 6 Baker will release a banging techno house remix of Black Crow by none other than Dick ‘Majik’ Johnson.
