Music News - Sharnar releases new single 'Breathe On Your Own'

Sultry Auckland singer-songwriter Sharnar has just released her third single, the highly addictive beat-driven track Breathe On Your Own.

Since releasing her last single Thank You, this emerging and talented young independent artist has continued to create music infused with heartfelt and soulful lyrics, that reflect on real moments and experiences in her life.
Breathe On Your Own speaks of the universal theme of addiction – whether that is to another person or something else is up to interpretation, but ultimately it is a song about self-responsibility and having the ability to step back and support from a distance. "It's about that person you tried to help, who throws it back in your face", says Sharnar. "Breathe On Your Own is like saying you know I love you but you need to learn how to do you by yourself."
For this track, Sharnar continued her working relationship with co-writer and producer Will Henderson, saying, "Wills and I worked really hard to nail our vision for this track. It's very easy working with him and he's so talented – it's going to be a lot of fun sharing the rest of what we have been working on".
In 2017, Sharnar's first two singles Alive and her follow-up Thank You (a co-write with award winning New Zealand artist Kings), received high praise and showed what Sharnar was capable of. Now with this new release, 2018 looks set to continue this promising trajectory for Sharnar, a shining new musical talent to watch out for.
