New Album for HeadRoller - out today!

31 October 2017 - 0 Comments

HeadRoller are a Death/Thrash Metal four-piece formed at the beginning of 2015, North of Auckland who draw their influences from all four corners of the underground music scene, combining Punk, Hardcore, Thrash and Death Metal to deliver their own brand of high-energy brutality to the New Zealand music scene.

Playing shows all around the North Island with some of the biggest local acts like 8 Foot Sativa and supporting international acts such as The Exploited. The band quickly grew into a juggernaut of success in their first year of existence, taking their sound to the masses and releasing two demos in the process.

With airplay adding to the hype from their fans, HeadRoller's name quickly moved up the bill adding new songs to their set list and frequenting venues like Auckland's famous Kings Arms Tavern. The energy of their live performances transferred to the crowd and was well received by punters and promoters alike.

Rumours of an even bigger step for the band were confirmed as the announcement of plans to record their debut full-length album is made for 2016. Under the banners of Mutinous Productions and Mordecai Records, the band swap out the stage for the studio. Leaving fans to eagerly anticipate with little other details being confirmed.

The much-anticipated debut album is set to contain nine crushing tracks, including the brand new single and lyric video Visions, (released October 13th) plus both previously released demos The Severance and Transparent, re-recorded and justified to the highest studio quality. Showcasing their diversity track by track, after almost a year in the making.

Teaming up with Mutinous Productions and Mordecai Records to produce a bulletproof foundation of songs, set to destroy all expectations in one definitive collection, HeadRoller the album authentically delivers the bands sound like never before, marking their territory, while refining the essence of what it means to be a Kiwi Metal fan.

"A fresh take on the Kiwi Metal sound with every song conspiring together to bring about the wider theme of injustice and self-reflection that the album has to offer. Highlighting the flaws and impurities within modern society, the lyrics are designed to awaken and unite all those that choose to listen" - Matt Mutinous.
