man - Fatman Scoop
– is coming to New Zealand for the very first time this May, with support from
UK beat man DJ Bluey.
Fatman Scoop
is notorious for shouting his name and requesting that you do whatever he tells
you… so put your hands up! Whether it’s Scoop’s
rambunctious baritone hyping a track or video cameos for P.Diddy, 50 Cent, or
Elephant Man to name a few, Scoop’s
booming voice, catchy hooks, electrifying energy and charismatic presence never
go unnoticed!
His most recent track Sunrise(out now through Liberator Music) sees him collaborate with Major Lazer member Jillionaire, and the
Ghanaian MC Fuse ODG.
Premiered on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe, the feel-good anthem pairs Scoop’s commanding
vocals with Fuse ODG’s
rousing melodies.
The song’s accompanying video depicts life in Darak,
Senegal.
Jillionaire
explains: "For many years I've
been fascinated with the Gris Gris Fighters of Senegal, so much so that I
wanted to do a documentary piece on them. When the opportunity came up to work
with a French/ Senegalese crew on my new music video, we put together this
coming of age story between two young lovers - a bright eyed young woman
exploring a new environment and a young man hoping to perfect his art as a
wrestler."

Pato Entertainment regretfully announces the upcoming Fatman Scoop New Zealand dates have been cancelled.
Fatman Scoopsustained a minor foot injury during a recent show in Australia, that has required him to return to New York.
Subsequently, Scoop’s NZ shows have been cancelled.
Fatman Scoopwas due to tour New Zealand for the very first time with support from UK beat manDJ Bluey.
The three-date tour was scheduled to start this Thursday, May 4 in Wellington at The Grand; then head to Auckland’s Stampede Bar on Friday, May 5; before finishing up in Tauranga on Saturday, May 6 at Totara Street.
Promoter, Pato Entertainment, says a full refund will be given to ticketholders.
