Bryony Matthews releases new single 'Voices' from forthcoming album

04 November 2016 - 0 Comments

Christchurch based singer/songwriter Bryony Matthews is pleased to release her debut single Voices from her forthcoming album Little Queen, due out in early 2017.

Matthews writes unique, considered, lyrics-focused folk-pop offerings, with her band lending an upbeat ambiance to the songs.

Says Matthews, "Voices was written in 2015 at a very confused time in my life, and while the lyrics are full of angst and confusion, the instrumentation picks it up and turns it into an upbeat and danceable track."

Guitarist Adam Hattaway lends a beautifully distinctive lead guitar riff to the track, with drummer AJ Park grounding the song with a swinging beat.

Matthews enlisted Dictaphone Blues frontman Eddie Castelow to produce her forthcoming album bringing AJ Park and Adam Hattaway along for the ride.

Voices is now available for purchase from Bandcamp and to listen head to Spotify and Soundcloud.
