Music News - New Album for Illuminus

New Album for Illuminus

27 July 2016 - 0 Comments

Lost Souls is a collection of songs that were recorded in 2012 during the sessions for Illuminus’s debut album Until the End. Shelved at the time, they have recently been rediscovered and now been remixed and re-mastered.

Lost Souls is five tracks, starting with the foot stomping groove of lead track Haven, a song about wearing masks, and how we need to overcome this. We then head straight into the frantic rock of Shards; think System of a Down with a 6/8 time signature, which details with drug abuse.

Next track The Dreamer is an epic power ballad of blockbuster movie proportions, a song about never giving up on your dreams. Then there’s an alternative mix of original album track Wept, recorded before Milla joined the sessions. Final track Ghost Song is a sad acoustic number about a lost soul wandering forever after death.

Lost Souls is a powerful addition to the Illuminus catalogue, and a prequel to the new album, due out later this year.
