Vallkyrie are delighted to announce the release of their brand new single Steel Heart today!
The second single from their debut album, the song fuses together the sounds that influence goth, pop, R&B, and rock to create something entirely unexpected. Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Kog Studios, Vallkyrie worked with the inspirational Chris Chetland and Huia H on Steel Heart to create an anthem that has become more than a song to the band.
Powerfully honest, Steel Heart is centered on love and all the heartache that comes along with it. Dedicated to a woman close to them who is currently battling cancer, the band describes Steel Heart as their heart and soul, written from a place of genuine personal experience.
Accompanying the song is a stunning video, directed by a personal hero to the band, Shae Sterling. With the barren coastline of Opononi starring as a stunning otherworldly landscape, the video represents a woman’s journey through heartbreak, and coming out the other side empowered and beautiful.
Theatrical, anthemic, and epic, Vallkyrie have embodied their inspiration, working ceaselessly to create not only a unique sound, but also an entire immersive world in their music.
Vallkyrie consists of Rebel Reid and Omer Gilroy as the powerhouse behind the industrial storm that is the new age girl power band, with Brandon Haru as their Viking drummer.
